Making a Difference
UGV has been giving grants since 1983 and in November 2023 held an event to celebrate the past 20 years of giving from 2003-2022 over which time we distributed £25,000,000 to charities across NI.

Expressions of Interest open 1st Nov 2025
Charitable Giving
In light of our substantial charitable forward commitments, coupled with the unknown financial implication relating to our ongoing litigation with regards to our investment in apartments at Victoria Square, Chichester Street, Belfast, the Committee of Management has agreed a strategy for the next 18-24 months to ensure we can continue to offer support at this critical time.
For this current grant round, UGV is focusing on the areas of Poverty and Homelessness.
